How You'll Make Your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
- As an ESG Legal Consultant at ALDI SÜD HOLDING, you focus on legal advice addressing ESG related matters as well as the corporate sustainability strategy of the group
- You are part of a team that acts as a strategic legal business partner to the International Sustainability department, which includes support on developing governance and processes on ESG matters
- You monitor and assess ESG regulations, define their scope, applicability and impact on the business and you advise on implementation measures
- In close collaboration with the International Sustainability department, you liaise with the group’s country organisations on legal implications of ESG matters
- You manage outside legal counsel as needed
Your Profile
The requirements of the role include:
- You hold a legal university degree, preferably with a legal qualification or bar exam from a German speaking or EU country; an additional international legal education is considered a plus
- You have 3-4 years of professional legal experience, which includes experience advising on EU regulatory and ESG matters - experience within law firms, in-house legal departments, and international assignments is a plus
- You are fluent in the English language, German skills would be beneficial
- You are excited by the topic of sustainability within a corporate environment
- Your legal professional skills set you apart and you are open to incorporate modern technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in your work
- You are interested in project work andan independent, 'hands-on', and proactive work style is a matter of course for you
- You should thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
