How you'll Make your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
- Monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting packaging-related legislation at EU and national level, with a primary focus on Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and related sustainability frameworks
- Assessing the impact of regulatory changes on existing packaging materials, product portfolios, and operational processes across the business
- Translating complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable business guidelines, ensuring practical implementation across relevant functions
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., procurement, product development, sustainability, and legal teams) to drive compliance initiatives and align on packaging strategies
- Supporting the development and implementation of packaging compliance roadmaps, ensuring timely adaptation to regulatory milestones and targets
- Providing expert guidance and training to internal stakeholders on packaging compliance topics and regulatory developments
- Identifying risks and opportunities related to packaging sustainability and circularity, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Your Profile
The requirements of the role include:
- Proven experience in sustainability, environmental, or product-related legislation, ideally with exposure to packaging regulations (e.g., PPWR, EPR schemes, or similar frameworks).
- A strong interest in and commitment to packaging circularity, resource efficiency, and sustainable material strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex legal texts and translate them into pragmatic, business-oriented actions and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess regulatory impacts and develop structured solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels, including non-legal audiences.
- A structured, detail-oriented, and proactive working style, with the ability to manage multiple topics in a dynamic regulatory environment.
- Fluency in English is required
